Meet Chef Josh

I bring the restaurant. You keep the evening.

Josh Bauman trained at NAIT in Edmonton and earned his Red Seal as a Journeyman chef. Then he went looking for the best kitchens he could find.

He cooked in Michelin-starred kitchens in England and in restaurants across Italy and Paris, learning the techniques behind food most people only see on a tasting menu. He brought all of it home to Alberta.

Now he cooks it in your dining room. Every menu is built for your table, your guests, and the occasion. Nothing off a template.

How an evening works

A private dinner should feel effortless for the person hosting it. Here is everything Josh handles, so you can spend the night with your guests instead of in the kitchen.

Good questions

The things most people want to know before they book. If yours is not here, just ask.

How does a private dinner actually work?

Josh designs a menu around your occasion, shops for everything, then arrives and cooks in your kitchen. Each course is plated and served at your table, and he cleans the kitchen before he leaves. You stay a guest the whole night.

What does it cost?

It depends on the menu, the number of courses, and your guest count. Tell Josh what you have in mind and he sends back a clear quote with no surprises. No obligation to book.

What is included, and what do I provide?

Josh handles menu design, groceries, cooking, plating, full table service, and cleanup. You provide the kitchen, the dining table, and the drinks. Ask about drink pairings if you would like a hand there.

How many guests can you cook for?

From an intimate dinner for two up to a larger table. Share your guest count in your message and Josh will confirm what works for your space.

Do you really clean up?

Yes. Josh leaves your kitchen the way he found it, or cleaner. You wake up to no dishes.

Can you handle allergies and dietary needs?

Yes. Vegan, gluten-free, and allergies are built into the menu from the start. Just tell Josh in advance so he can plan every course around them.

Where do you travel?

Sherwood Park, Strathcona County, Edmonton, St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Beaumont, Leduc and Spruce Grove. If you are just outside that, ask and Josh will let you know.

How far ahead should I book?

Earlier is better, and holidays and weekends fill up first. Send your date and Josh will confirm availability quickly.
